Technical reassurance

Shopify-native building blocks, explained plainly

DealGift orchestrates gifts and deals using patterns Shopify expects: a theme surface shoppers trust, cart updates that mirror your rules, and checkout discounts that follow the same math.

Theme app extension (in plain English)

Think of this as a mini app panel inside your theme. You (or your developer) drop it where shoppers should see offers. It reads your DealGift configuration and renders buttons, gift messaging, or consent prompts—without sending buyers to a mystery domain.

No checkout hijacking

Shoppers stay on your storefront and Shopify checkout. DealGift does not intercept payments, cloak redirect chains, or obscure totals. If something breaks, you troubleshoot within Shopify’s observability—not a black box hosted elsewhere.

Cart updates you can reason about

When a shopper qualifies for a gift, DealGift adds or removes line items using Shopify cart APIs. Quantity edits, variant swaps, or threshold changes re-run your rules so the cart reflects reality before checkout.

Discount functions keep totals honest

Shopify’s discount function stack applies the same promotional logic at checkout. Shoppers see price reductions that align with the storefront story you told—reducing “it looked cheaper up front” support tickets.

Admin stays the source of truth

Merchants configure deals inside the embedded app. Developers wire the extension once; marketers iterate on campaigns without opening tickets for every copy tweak.
